It doesn’t always have to be complex, confusing, or challenging to navigate God’s word or his direction. Sometimes I invest too much time trying to decipher the context of scripture. I analyze the text and cross-reference with multiple translations to make meaning of the words. But today, I found it was delightfully clear and straightforward. 

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV

There you have it, simple and yet so intricately beautiful. I love when God’s word is direct like that! Of course, actually living out these words is a whole different story. Still, I’m grateful for the clarity of this message today. And my favorite part, “for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” That’s the gem right there!
